Outreach
The Great Commission is our mission! And in fulfilling our mission in the local area, we have several programs
through which we endeavour to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We have special days when we simply pass out Gospel tracts in letterboxes, as well as special occasions when we simply pass them out on the street. Most Sunday Afternoons we run a regular letterboxing program, as well as going from door-to-door.
We run other programs throughout the year, which include Missions Trips to area’s within Australia, but where distance and isolation prevent many from being able to attend a Church on a regular basis.
Nursing Home Ministry
A team from the church go out to various Nursing Homes throughout the month to hold Church services for the elderly that are unable to otherwise go to Church.
Golden Oldies
If you are a Senior Saint, 50 and over, then this group is for you. Meeting six times a year for relaxed fun and fellowship. The Golden Oldies is a great way to get to know your fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Youth Group
Attention all youth 13 years and over! Youth Group meets once every month for an exciting time of friendship, fun and activities all blended with practical teaching on how to grow closer to God.
Junior Church & Crèche
Junior Church and Crèche run concurrently with the main Church service. Junior Church is for ages 4-9 and has a Church service directed at their age group and is on every Sunday morning except for the first Sunday of every month. Crèche is for ages 0-3 and is on every Sunday Morning and Evening.
Patch Club
During the Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting, Patch Club meets in the Crèche for prayer, story-time and singing.
Choir
Garden City Baptist Church has three choirs. There is an Adult Choir, Youth Choir and Ladies Choir. All Choirs practice at various times throughout every Sunday.
Ladies Coffee Morning
Meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 9:30am at various locations, the ladies coffee morning is a great opportunity for you to grow friendships and make new friends over a cuppa and a devotion.
Secret Sister
This program is an anonymous way to show someone you care and that you are praying for them. There are two times a year in which Secret Sisters are drawn and revealed.
Discipleship Classes
New Christian? Then this is for you! During these classes you can learn more about the One Who saved you, Jesus Christ! Learn about what we believe and why we believe it!
Missions
Garden City Baptist Church currently supports 13 missionaries in 8 countries. Missions is an integral part of fulfilling the Great Commission left to us by Christ as individuals and as a Church body.
Annual Church Picnic
The annual Church Picnic is held on the Saturday following the Labour Day (May) weekend at Lake Annand. Join us for fun, fellowship and of course, a BBQ Picnic! This is a highlight of the Church calendar and is not one to be missed.
Church Camp / Olympics
Join us in the beautiful surrounds of Minden Retreat for an affordable & enjoyable time of spiritual and physical refreshing. The Annual Olympics is a great day of family fun and activities catering to your competitive streak, so why not join in and share the fun.
