6. Of Man And His Fall

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that in Adam’s voluntary sin the human race fell, he inherited a sinful nature and brought upon himself and all mankind, not only physical death, but eternal and spiritual death and became alienated from God. We believe that because of sin, man is a complete ruin and failure, apart from the Lord Jesus Christ; That all human beings are born with a sinful nature and that in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility and accountability, they then become sinners in thought, word and deed and therefore under just condemnation without defence or excuse. We believe to die in this condition is to be damned forever and forever without hope, which is the second death.
